Thrifted shirt (Etsy), UO jeans, Chucks
I’m actually way more jazzed about this shirt than my face lets on. EXTREMELY. JAZZED. And who wouldn’t be with lightning bolts zig-zagging across their chest?
I found this shirt for Z’s birthday party in June. The theme? Puppies. Just kidding. MONSTER TRUCKS! The plan was for all of us to wear the tackiest shirts that I could possibly find, the ones that I’d always spied at Goodwill and the like. I’d always wondered, “Who would buy that thing?” Ha! Me. Apparently when you actually want to buy tacky monster truck shirts they vanish? So I took to Ebay and Etsy. Wow! People expect a LOT of money for these things! Who knew? So Andy had to go without. All of the men’s shirts were priced up the wazoo.I know he felt left out…but what can you do?
Cool, that rhymed.
There. A little more jazzed.
These jeans are the love of my life. They are the life of my love. I used to think that Levi’s were the only way to go, but then I saw a post of Orchid Grey‘s and I decided to give Urban Outfitters a try. It was a good decision. I have five pairs now and my hips are HAPPY.
Tights: Amazon? Can’t remember.
Shoes: Gianni Bini
I’d like you to meet my new dress, Dottie. Isn’t she cute? Dottie came all the way from New York to be with me. I tried to tell her that she shouldn’t get mixed up with a girl like me. “I’m a loner, Dottie. A rebel,” I told her. “And I’m SO OVER empire waists!” Try though I might, I couldn’t deny that I was drawn to her peter pan collar and her sweet polka dots. I realized that I had to have her! Plus, I had to make up my mind sooner or later because I couldn’t hang out in Zara all day when there was plenty more of New York to see the end.
Anyway, I was so NOT in the mood for heels, but I think next time I’ll introduce Dottie to my very good friend Agatha; I have a feeling that they’re a match made in heaven. Say hi, Agatha!
You know who Dottie reminds me of? Another girl that I was scoping out in New York, that’s who. This time it’s a real girl, I promise.
Isn’t her outfit adorbs? We should totally be twinsies! I just need a navy blue cardigan.
New shoes! I was going to go for the usual black and white saddle shoe but being the cheapskate that I am, I bought this color since they were on sale. I loooove them.
New Hat! And I thought I’d treat myself to a new AIRPLANE while I was at it.
I lusted after this belt a while back, but laughed at the insane price. Turns out Urban Outfitters has something pretty similar (and cheap!). It looks kind of fanny pack-y, but I still dig it.
This BB Dakota Tipton skirt will be mine.
I’m a huge fan of the bowtie necklaces that I’ve been seeing a lot lately on Etsy.
