What can I say? This was a Monday outfit: no belts, jewelry or scarves because I was too tired to care or try. But there is a kid! He comes courtesy of my womb. Hooray!Anyway, Mad is my sweet boy. He’s very attached to me. He loves to “caress” my hair, which is usually super sweet but occasionally reeeally irritating. I can’t hold him without his hands grasping for strands to pull. Sometimes when I’m about to reprimand him, he leans back, stares at me and says, “Heh.” And then I melt. Speaking of hair, I haven’t felt like doing it the past couple of days. Hence the hood scarf below.
Hood scarf: Imelda’s (Pistil). Dresses: Zara and Buffalo Exchange. Tights: HUE. Boots: Frye.

Hey, what is that down there? Oh, just another step. Which leads to another one! Amazing.
I decided to wear my shirtdress over my Zara dress after seeing this picture in the latest Anthro catalog:
And then I added the polka dot tights for kicks and giggles.
And speaking of tights, can Hansel from Basel make these babies in larger sizes?! Please? Thank you.
*I’m not sure why I used that title. Probable because that’s what I say every time I go outside. It’s that cold.
Bomber hat: Andy and Bax. Cardigan: ZARA. Belt: Vintage. Skirt: Fossil. Tights: HUE. Boots: Frye. Brooch: The Vamoose
I love pinning this brooch to pockets, especially the pockets on this cardigan. It really lends well to the whole military/aviator thing I’ve got going on.
How cool is this?
Pretty cool. I found the MijuAndYou shop through the Norwegian Wood shop which I found through Lost in the Forest, which I found through Wardrobe Remix. And I need it to be mine. So that I can pin it to pockets.
Lazy Sunday: the dishwasher is going, Andy is snoring gently from the couch and Zain is insistently telling Madrox, as he shovels in puffs: “Mad Mad! You have to change your diaper!” We just got back from a short walk around the neighborhood. The sun is out, but it’s heeeella cold out there. Couldn’t wait to get back inside. I couldn’t find my gloves, am sad. I need more:
And because I am a massive dork:
Ten. Hut. Or something.
Cardigan and belt: Fossil. Shirt: J.Crew. Jeans: Urban. Brogues: Franco Sarto.

Yeah, I pretty much just woke up. Can you tell? Tired smiles ABOUND. I wanted to crawl back in to bed but alas, I had to go to work. Decided to use the tie from my Fossil dress again to spruce up the outfit. Maybe I should’ve tied the bow in front?
Dresses: ZARA and BB Dakota. Belt: Ladybird’s General Store. Tights: Sock Dreams. Brogues: Franco Sarto.

And then I decided to try the ole scarf bow tie again. Good times…
I love it when the wind works with me.
I look like a Disney character: part Snow White, part Minnie Mouse. AWESOME. I’m not brave enough to wear this tie out of the house yet, though. Baby steps.
Okay, I’m off to try to cram in a movie while the boys nap. Toods!
Bowler hat: Goorin. Vest: Old Navy. Coat: Tulle. Newsboy hat, shirt, and jeans: Urban. Earrings: Haute Keys. Tie: Belt from dress. Boots: Frye.
This began as a, “Let’s pair two plaids together again!” moment and evolved from there. I took the tie from my dress because I’ve been wanting to wear a tie for days and for some reason Andy only has a bright red striped one? I could’ve sworn he had more. Anyway. I’ve always had a penchant for menswear and the structure that it adds to an outfit. Also, it’s fun to dress like a dude. When I was in high school I would sometimes wear a dress shirt, slacks and suspenders to school. There was this one girl that it always got a reaction from, she would slap her forehead and shout, “Where do you SHOP?” and I’d laugh and say the thrift store (which is where I did most of my shopping as I had no money). I wasn’t always so inspired though, sometimes I would wear a CK shirt and jeans all week.
I love Jess of Stylepint’s adorable take on menswear inspired outfits, she also cued me in to this great post by The Style Blogger.
Oh, and I made a bow tie out of a scarf my Mom gave me:
The things I do while my kids nap…
Cloche: Porch Light. Bomber jacket: Fossil. Cardigan: ZARA. Shirt: Trovata. Jumper: Old Navy. Tights: HUE. Socks: Sock Dreams. Boots: Frye.

It has BEGUN. My coworkers have started playing Christmas music! AUGH!!! Don’t get me wrong, ’tis the season and all, but I swear it’s like the same 10 songs on repeat for an entire month. Songs I’ll never get tired of: I really love Matt Pond PA’s Snow Day and his cover of Holiday Road. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee. Anything Nat King Cole sings. God, his voice. *le sigh* So beautiful and velvety.
Also. I’m probably going to end up eating my weight in peppermint bark this month.
Anyway, the outfit: perfect for the cold and foggy day. I would usually pair my bomber hat with this jumper (something about the plaid just calls out for it), but I decided to wear the cloche to soften things up a bit.
On my wish list:
This dress is calling my naaaaame. EPAULETS! POCKETS! HOMGIZZLE. And it’s on sale!
Hat: Dizzie’s in SLO. Cardigan: Fossil. Shirt: Nordstrom. Skirt: J. Crew. Tights: HUE. Socks: HUE. Brogues: Franco Sarto. Cat with the crazy glowing eyes: Zuri.
I had no time to take pictures before the sun went down. And I’m currently using Andy’s computer because mine isn’t working right now. I never realized how addicted I am to that thing (okay… so maybe I had an inkling), not being able to use it is making me feel kind of crazy. *shifty eyes* Thank God I married an IT guy. 🙂
This outfit was inspired by this picture from the Ralph Lauren Rugby line:
Did I mention that I NEED a bow tie?
Pea Coat: Gap. Cardigan: Target. Belt: Ladybird’s General Store. Skirt: Vintage. Tights:whoknows. Brogues: Franco Sarto

I know it don’t thrill you, I hope it don’t kill you. Dude, Mondays suck. Maybe that’s why I look like someone pissed in my cheerios? Woof.
Skipped yesterday; there was no way that I was getting dressed. I stayed in my pajamas and robe all day long and it was glorious. Caught up on some shows (Community, 30 Rock), watched my favorite scenes of Jeffrey (OMG LOVE). Listened to Mumford and Sons. A LOT. Especially this song:
This outfit was the closest I could get to not changing out of my robe, because I really didn’t want to get dressed again. But I kind of had to. Anyway, so cozy! I never used to wear brown and black together, but I really love how the brown in this outfit makes everything so much..sharper. The belt and brogues are totally MFEO, amirite?
So here are outfits 11-19:
Also, how awesome is Bethany for this one?
