Thrifted Fossil dress, Target tank, Miz Mooz flats
Rachel Roy dress (Ebay), Talula leggings, Miz Mooz flats
22 weeks on Friday!
So I’ve been thinking that I should name this blog Cranky In PDX because I am in a MOOD. People are irritating the hell out of me.
Sorry Strange Woman at Little Big Burger, I don’t have help and I know how much that horrifies you and that it will keep you awake at night thinking about the many ways that I will fail at parenting 5 male children. And then you’ll fall asleep only to wake up yelling things like: “SOMEBODY DOOOO SOMETHING!” Go away.
Now, I have enjoyed surprising the shit out of unsuspecting fools when they ask me if I know the sex yet (singular) and I feel a mounting glee before saying, “Two boys.” Cue head swivel, gaping mouth. Good times. “Two? But..TWO? More?” But mostly it’s when it’s people that my husband works with or neighbors, people that I generally know in some capacity. There’s something so obnoxious about strangers giving me their opinions about what’s happening in my house and in my uterus. Go away.
Almost bought this Dear Creatures dress from Buffalo Exchange the other day but the fabric was too weird. Cute though, right? Andy said, “You look like a nun!” Eh…sure. >.>
Cloche: Porch Light. Bomber jacket: Fossil. Cardigan: ZARA. Shirt: Trovata. Jumper: Old Navy. Tights: HUE. Socks: Sock Dreams. Boots: Frye.
22 of 30!
It has BEGUN. My coworkers have started playing Christmas music! AUGH!!! Don’t get me wrong, ’tis the season and all, but I swear it’s like the same 10 songs on repeat for an entire month. Songs I’ll never get tired of: I really love Matt Pond PA’s Snow Day and his cover of Holiday Road. Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree by Brenda Lee. Anything Nat King Cole sings. God, his voice. *le sigh* So beautiful and velvety.
Also. I’m probably going to end up eating my weight in peppermint bark this month.
Anyway, the outfit: perfect for the cold and foggy day. I would usually pair my bomber hat with this jumper (something about the plaid just calls out for it), but I decided to wear the cloche to soften things up a bit.
On my wish list:
This dress is calling my naaaaame. EPAULETS! POCKETS! HOMGIZZLE. And it’s on sale!
Sweater: Fossil. Shirt: Gilt (Trovata). Skirt: Anthro. Tights: Drugstore. Shoes: Franco Sarto. Bomber: Andy and Bax. Belt: Ladybird’s General Store.
Oy. I woke up with a tickle in the back of my throat today. I probably shouldn’t have yelled Noooooooo! at the top of my lungs, because that didn’t really help my cause. I’m now drinking hot water with lemon and consuming copious amounts of Ricola.
This outfit was brought to you by the number 10 and the letter R. Ruffles: fun to look at, the WORST to iron! But oh, these are two of my favorite articles of clothing, I love them to bitsies!
Here are the previous nine looks:
I’m 1/3 done! I’m having so much fun remixing; I really appreciate all of the comments and am enjoying meeting all of you!
And of course I can’t not mention The Ten, one of the most weird, random, and awesome things I have ever seen in my entire life. Also NSFW-ish. Ish.
Scarf: Therapy in SLO. Necklaces: Erica Weiner, self made. Tights: Sock Dreams
Not quite sure how I feel about this outfit. It needs….something. I built it around the skirt, which I like but don’t love but WILL continue to wear because it’s so very velvety. And it’s got pockets! But man, if it were juuuust a little fuller? And juuuuuuust a little longer? Hoo, boy. HOO BOY. Anyway, I really do love these colors together. Very fall. Very autumn. Very brown. I have a pair of knee high argyle socks that I’ll try pairing with it next time, and maybe a button down shirt.
Cardigan: Fossil. Shirt: Old Navy. Skirt: Anthropologie. Tights: HUE. Brogues: Franco Sarto. Belt: LadyBird’s General Store.
I’ve realized that cats are cutest when they don’t belong to you. Like this cat! Super cute! It really is quite endearing how she tries to sneak into our house at all hours, waiting patiently for us to simply crack open the door! And when she weaves in and out of my legs when I’m trying to take a simple walk with my kids? Adorable! The boys, of course, love her to bitsies and would have succeeded in crushing her in childlike wonder if we didn’t shoo her away each and every time. Run for your life, kitty! But she just keeps coming back! Seriously though, she really is the sweetest cat ever. How cute is that third shot? Super cute, I say!
Anyway. Here’s my outfit from yesterday. I’ve been wearing these tights and shoes a lot, I just love the way they look together!!
Belt: Lady Bird’s General Store
Oxfords: Franco Sarto
Bomber Hat: Andy and Bax
Are you wondering WHAT I’M LOOKING AT? Well, I’ll tell you. Trees. Houses. The occasional cat shitting in my backyard. You know, really interesting stuff.
This new belt of mine is made for my brown brogues. I like how there are two loops, one leather and one brass. I found it at this vintage store that I just discovered nearby, Lady Bird’s General Store. Oh, it’s the cutest little store, and the music that was playing was the perfect soundtrack to my shopping experience. Anyway, I’m trying to find an excuse to wear it everyday. The same goes for the hat. Now that the rain is back who knows?*
*Okay, nevermind, it’s back to 85 and sunny.
Shirt: Buffalo Exchange
Belt: Off another dress
Mary Janes: Pink Studio
Brooch: The Vamoose
That last picture is dedicated to my sister Bethany.
I wore my brooch again. On a pocket.
I also think this shirt would look good with some of these pinned to it:
I need to hit up Andy and Bax.
