Happy Halloween, yo!
Look! I’m wearing a mask, a fur collar, and some spotted tights! Because I am a catwoman! Hear me rawr!
Yeah, this is my sad attempt at a costume.
Oh and in case you were wondering, Catwoman is still the worst.
Here’s my sweet Madder as a Cataffe:
Target cardigan, JCrew shirt, Fossil skirt, Happy Socks tights, OTBT booties
Boo! I mean, Oooh! I found this dress at Kenton Antiques the other day:
It’s so not my “style”: I’m not into the whole peasant look and the pattern is kind of wacky, but I had to have it. It’s heavy and I have to bunch up the skirts when I walk up stairs. It also…makes it kind of difficult to get in the car.
I love it.
I surely did wear it with my Camper boots!
Got some new Tretorn boots as my green ones are cracked. My Tretorns are torn. Nice.
Anyway, I would’ve gotten green again, but the black ones were cheaper.
We went to the pumpkin patch the other day and it was crazy satisfying to just slosh through the mud.
After I cleaned up the pumpkins I deposited them on the front porch along with six other tiny ones. Look at me being festive!
Man, I love this time of year. And I love this ice cream:
It’s been 6 months since I chopped my hair off and I made a couple of collages to see how much it’s grown. Answer: So much! Yay me! Also, it’s still a little shocking to see how much I cut, how short it was!
I’m still loving fingercoils, but my hair is long enough now to do two strand twists.
Here’s a pic of my twist-out last month:
Lots of shrinkage!
Let’s see what that looks like picked out a bit:
Having short hair has been great though, I’m really enjoying it. I wouldn’t say it’s been easier simply because it’s shorter, but wearing it naturally is definitely less stressful. I wore it straight for such a long time. I love not having to worry about proper coverage (still love hats and hoodies, don’t get me wrong), frizz levels, etc. Rain, keep falling on my head!
Fossil cardigan, Anthro dress, Hansel from Basel tights, OTBT booties
I was looking though my Stylefile board on Pinterest and I was struck by how similar my outfit was one that I’d pinned ages ago:
I’d KILL for that bag, btw.
The Pixies put out a new EP recently and I’m really loving it, especially this song:
Fossil cardigan, thrifted Laura Ashley dress (Little Edie’s), thrifted Brahmin bag (Rerun), HUE tights, Born brogues
Rain. It falls again. But hooray for tights!! Because shaving my legs is such a bore.
I found this purse at Rerun the other day. I haven’t been in there in ages and I went in on a whim, since I was in the area. I’m so happy I did! I’ve been wanting a black satchel, and this one is in such good condition and was a steal – $12! The leather is so soft and supple. I kind of like buying old purses because they’re already broken in and I don’t have to feel guilty about throwing them onto sticky counters.
Here are some Brahmin bags that I am drooling over:
1. My Rio is TWO years old.
There are no more babies in my house. *sniffle*
2. Mad and I had some fun on the porch the other day.
He’s wearing a thrifted plaid shirt (Deseret Industries) and jeans. I can’t remember if they’re Cherokee or Levi’s. On his feet are his well worn DC sneakers. On his head are gorgeous brown curls.
3. I can’t stop listening to this song:
