Aw, look at my little Rio photobombing! Presh.
This is an outfit from a couple of weeks ago, before the haircut. You know, I really dig this whole floral-stripe-combo thing. Thanks to whoever got that started. Also, do you see how the floral side of the skirt is popping out to say hello to the tank? How sweet.
Yeah, I’m a dork.
That’s really all I came here to say.
Goorin hat, Tegan and Sara hoodie, What Would Geordie LaForge Do? shirt, UO jeans, Born brogues, typewriter key earrings
Have I mentioned that I’m digging my new haircut? I am. Hats fit so much better on my head!
Heartthrob, Tegan and Sara’s latest, has been playing on repeat in my house and car. My boys LOVE it, as do I. The last time I felt this strongly about one of their albums it was 9 years ago (So Jealous).
So, so good. Can’t get enough. All I wanna get is. A little bit closer.
I bought my hoodie at a show of theirs that we went to ages ago. I balked at spending $40 on it at the time (effing shows and their overpriced merch) but it was so cute and I must say, it’s held up pretty well. Every time I wear it I get a compliment, or someone tells me a story of this one time they met them at some random place. It’s a great conversation starter.
ANDY AND I ARE GOING TO SEE MUMFORD AND SONS NEXT MONTH!!!!
That’s them up there, in case you were wondering.
I’m so excited. Do you think they’ll pluck me out of the crowd to sing a duet with Marcus? We’ll seeeee!

Yeah, so…THIS happened.
If you’re my friend on Facebook you’ve already seen this picture, but for everyone else: OMG RIGHT?! I chopped my hair off, for real real this time. Not for play play.
I kinda love it. I was inspired by this YouTube vid that I saw a couple of weeks ago:
I’ve always wanted to cut my hair really short but I’ve been ruled by fear each and every time. Would I be pretty without my hair? Would it grow back?
It was time to check this off the ole bucket list, as Maya says in the video. I am not my hair, etc. It just seemed like the right time, my hair was 3 different lengths, not to mention the alternating thickness. So, I went back to Kiss Kiss Salon and Lee gave me a terrific cut!
I’ve also decided not to straighten it for at least 6 months to a year. I want my hair as healthy as I can make it.
I’ve got 3 hair types going on. The sides and the back are a tighter, more defined curl, the crown is frizzy and needs a lot of moisture and manipulation and the front is kind of a combo between the first two. Not as frizzy as the crown but not as defined as the back.
If that makes sense.
Weee. I’m excited about my hair journey, ya’ll.
