First off: Happy Father’s Day to my sweet Andy! I lalalove you and I don’t mean maybe.

As you can see, I got a haircut! Not as short as I was planning on, but it’s a HUGE improvement to the long, stringy look I had going on. All I want is my thick hair back. I care if it’s long or short, but I miss my mushroom head. Man, I never thought I’d say that. Hindsight sucks.

I am officially  6 months along, and I finally feel like my belly is appropriately sized. Just kidding. I’m huge, and I am NOT fishing when I say that. At my last midwife appointment the nurse said, “You’re only 24 weeks along? Wow.”

And then there was a woman I ran into in the bathroom at work who said, “You’re big.” That’s it. That’s all she said.

My boss told me recently, “I can’t believe you’re only four months along.” all while staring at my stomach, at which point I said, “Whoa, whoa, FIVE.” because it was important to me that she realize that while I’m big, I’m not THAT big.

I’m still liberally mixing the pre-pregnancy clothes with maternity. The other day one of my coworkers asked me, “Do you have ANY maternity clothes? All of your clothes look the same.” Fair enough. Basically as long as I can avoid looking like I’m desperately trying to squeeze into something I will continue to do what I’m doing. But I am looking forward to the day that I can pack up all my maternity clothes and sell them in bulk on ebay. Freedom.

My last day off with the boys I felt like a superhero because I took them to the park (twice!) and managed not to hyperventilate. Being 6 months pregnant and chasing after a 4 and a 2 year old is not easy, but I did it! I always marvel at the parents who can relax on benches while their kids play, I always feel like I have to linger, I’m afraid that Mad is going to fall off of something (he’s pretty clumsy still). He’s adorable though, he likes to have me linger. If I don’t move fast enough he calls out, “Come on Mama, come on!” And Z would be content to swing for an hour straight. If you don’t push him every SECOND he freaks out: “Mama, push me! Pleeeeeease PUSH ME!”

My boys, I love them so.

Well, I’m off.

P.S. I’ve been loving my monocle necklaces lately. That’s all.

The Sock Dreams place is real? And they sell socks? (tights)? Seriously? I thought for sure this was some weird fetish place, no joke. I am terrified of going to the website because an entire store for socks? HAH, porn jockeys!

    My mind is boggled.

    Also. Hello baby!
