I had no time to take pictures before the sun went down. And I’m currently using Andy’s computer because mine isn’t working right now. I never realized how addicted I am to that thing (okay… so maybe I had an inkling), not being able to use it is making me feel kind of crazy. *shifty eyes* Thank God I married an IT guy. 🙂
This outfit was inspired by this picture from the Ralph Lauren Rugby line:
Did I mention that I NEED a bow tie?

I know it don’t thrill you, I hope it don’t kill you. Dude, Mondays suck. Maybe that’s why I look like someone pissed in my cheerios? Woof.
Skipped yesterday; there was no way that I was getting dressed. I stayed in my pajamas and robe all day long and it was glorious. Caught up on some shows (Community, 30 Rock), watched my favorite scenes of Jeffrey (OMG LOVE). Listened to Mumford and Sons. A LOT. Especially this song:
This outfit was the closest I could get to not changing out of my robe, because I really didn’t want to get dressed again. But I kind of had to. Anyway, so cozy! I never used to wear brown and black together, but I really love how the brown in this outfit makes everything so much..sharper. The belt and brogues are totally MFEO, amirite?
So here are outfits 11-19:
Also, how awesome is Bethany for this one?
Jacket: Fossil. Shirts: Urban and J.Crew. Jeans: Urban. Boots: Frye.
Ah, home sweet home. No long car trips for a while, thank you very much. Mad and Zain were actually really good, except for this part:
Mad (at the top of his lungs): NO!
Me: What’s wrong sweetie, do you want something to eat?
Me: Do you want a car? Leopard Nimoy?
Me: I know you’ve been in your car seat a long time, sweetie, but you can’t get up.
Zain: NO THANK YOU MAD MAD!!!
Me: Zain, shush. Mad, it’ll be okay.
Me: Can you please stop yelling no?
Me: Can you at least say it in another language? Like Spanish?
Sweater: Target. Dress: Zara. Belt: Anastasia’s. Tights: drugstore. Saddle shoes: Bass.

Resting up before the drive back home tomorrow. Yiiiiiiikes. Not looking forward to that.We usually drive at night so that the boys can sleep, but we’re kind of tired of driving while delirious so here’s hoping they don’t flip out. And it’ll be nice to actually see some scenery.
So I really tried to cheat today. We went shopping and my sister and aunt left with bags of stuff but I wasn’t impressed by anything. Which is good, right? But I’m compiling a list: bow tie, black oxfords, brown Frye boots, sweater clips, pocket watch brooch. Soon, my lovelies. SOON.
I’m off. Toods!
Hat: Urban. Sweater: Fossil. Dress: Buffalo Exchange. Tights: HUE. Boots: Frye.

I’m thankful for our lovely family and friends. I’m thankful to be in California, home to In N Out and Thrifty’s Ice Cream! I’m thankful for Skype, which allowed us to celebrate with our family in Montreal. I’m thankful for three Thanksgiving feasts! I’m thankful that it’s such a beautiful day. I’m thankful for my new readers. I’m thankful for all of this and much more.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I’ve realized that I should’ve picked more diverse shirts (and sweaters). They’re so boring, I’m longing for more plaid, stripes, and polka dots! I ended up switching to a pink v-neck shirt to add more color but was too lazy to get off of the couch again and take more pictures.
Tonight we’re off to Andy’s grandparents house for our second Thanksgiving meal of the trip. Our first included two types of gumbo, pot roast, green beans and key lime pie. SO GOOD.
Andy and I went to see Harry Potter last night, the first time we’ve got to see a movie in the theatre since last December (!). It was really good, and I can’t wait for part 2! The previews, which are almost always my favorite part, were almost as good as the movie. Except for Red Riding Hood. That looks unbelievably stupid.

I’m running low on long sleeved shirts (what was I thinking?!) so naturally, I made my dress into one. I’ve done this one other time when I was pregnant. See, I wasn’t trying to be crafty or anything, I just had no other shirts that covered my stomach and the dress barely covered my bum as it was (I wore leggings underneath). So, done and DONE. And is it just me or are dresses getting shorter and shorter? I’ve got hips, kids. And I also have to occasionally bend over. Must I wear jean shorts under everything? Anyway, I just folded the dress up into the elastic and voila! Shirt! *fistpump* Except, now that I look at these pictures I think it might make me look pregnant. Circle of Life.
We took these pictures at Lightning Joe’s Guitar Heaven in Arroyo Grande while checking out banjos (true story!). Most of those sign names? I have no idea what they’re referencing. Houses of the Holy? Studios 51 & 50? I got nothin’. No worries, Andy clued me in. My guitar teacher assumed I knew the melody to Stairway to Heaven (you know the drill: when you assume, you make an ass out of you and me), and when I said I didn’t? The entire class stared. me. DOWN. Truly?! And then he mentioned Robert Plant and I felt like messing with them just a leetle bit more so I asked, “Who?” LOUD groans. But then, the next week, the teacher mentioned Private Idaho and no one knew who the B-52s or Gus Van Sant were/was? *steeples fingers* HMMMMM.
