What I want, what I got

New shoes! I was going to go for the usual black and white saddle shoe but being the cheapskate that I am, I bought this color since they were on sale. I loooove them.

New Hat! And I thought I’d treat myself to a new AIRPLANE while I was at it.

I lusted after this belt a while back, but laughed at the insane price. Turns out Urban Outfitters has something pretty similar (and cheap!). It looks kind of fanny pack-y, but I still dig it.

This BB Dakota Tipton skirt will be mine.

So this was sort of an accidental theme. When me and my guys were out and about I saw the mailbox and told Andy to take a picture of me in front of it. Then we came upon a mail truck and I did some more posing. As I was uploading pictures later I said, “Heeeeeeeeeeeey. Nice.” It’s too bad I wasn’t wearing my knee high postman socks, my father in law worked for the postal service for over three decades and before he retired he gave me several pairs of socks that I love (also – Andy used to practically live in his dad’s old post office jacket. I miss that old thing, it’s so Andy!).  But what I am talking about? As you can see in the last picture, I was melting. No unnecessary articles of clothing, thanks! I was hot enough in my chucks, probably should’ve worn sandals.

Anyway, I love this dress, I can’t get enough of the epaulets!

ETA: Now I can’t stop listening to bands/music that reference the art of delivering mail.

Are you wondering WHAT I’M LOOKING AT? Well, I’ll tell you. Trees. Houses. The occasional cat shitting in my backyard. You know, really interesting stuff.

This new belt of mine is made for my brown brogues. I like how there are two loops, one leather and one brass. I found it at this vintage store that I just discovered nearby, Lady Bird’s General Store. Oh, it’s the cutest little store, and the music that was playing was the perfect soundtrack to my shopping experience. Anyway, I’m trying to find an excuse to wear it everyday.The same goes for the hat. Now that the rain is back who knows?*

*Okay, nevermind, it’s back to 85 and sunny.
